About HCC

Hugglescote Community Church is a joint venture of Hugglescote Baptist and Methodist Churches. We meet to worship at 10:30 every Sunday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 in Hugglescote Community Centre.

As Christians we believe that God wants to communicate with the world he has created, and he chose to do this by becoming human. The gospel of John talks about Jesus as “the Word” (God speaking to us) and says “No one has ever seen God. But the one and only Son is himself God and is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.” (John 1: 18)

If you want to get to know what God is like, you need to get to know Jesus.

As Christians in Hugglescote Community Church, we believe that although Jesus died on the cross, he rose from the dead and is alive today. This is why we can get to know him here and now.

About The Oasis

The Oasis is open each Tuesday, Wednesday,  Thursday and Friday.

The Oasis is a venture of Hugglescote Community Church and is a great place to get a coffee, a cooked breakfast, lunch, have a chat, meet a friend, do your homework, read your emails (free wifi available)… and always get a warm welcome.

Through the Café and other activities in the building we seek to serve the people of Hugglescote and the wider community, by providing opportunities that help people to experience life in all its fullness. We are unashamedly Christian but respect the journeys that other people are on.

We want to welcome each person to the Oasis and believe that they are an individual to be valued and treated with respect, and that they should feel safe physically, emotionally and spiritually.

We want to be generous with the resources we have, particularly to those in need, making the Oasis space available, and offering support to local groups and individuals.

The Oasis Café is one of the activities that happens in the building – we seek to be hospitable and welcoming to all our customers, offering drinks and food that are freshly prepared, tasty and reasonably priced.

The Oasis Cafe is run by Debs and a team of volunteers and new volunteers are always welcome – talk to Debs for more information or click here: Volunteer Information
