Hugglescote Community Church is a joint venture between Hugglescote Baptist and Hugglescote Methodist Church.
The Oasis is our Community Cafe located on Central Road in Hugglescote.
Normally, the Church meets to worship on Sundays at 10:30 am in the Hugglescote Community Centre. However, due to Covid-19, we are holding our worship services as on-line Zoom events. These are easy to join either on your computer, smartphone or by dialing-in on a regular phone. They are a lively mix of of our Baptist and Methodist traditions and a great time to share with others. The latest dates can be found on our Events Page. If you would like to join in, please email Rev Janet Tanner at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Oasis Cafe is a great place to get a coffee, a cooked breakfast, lunch, have a chat, meet a friend, do your homework, read your emails…and always get a warm welcome. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00am to 1:30pm. We have free WiFi, and you spend as much or as little time here as you like.
Our Cafe Manager Debs and the team will give you a warm welcome and are taking all steps possible to keep you safe and comply with the latest Government guidance. When you visit, please wait at the door to be shown to a table, wear a mask and sanitise your hands on entry.
Service will be at your table to avoid contact at the serving counter. The toilet is open, as is the garden (weather permitting) where you can sit under our Garden Shelter. Please take special care to keep your distance from others in the passageway to the garden.
In compliance with social distancing rules, no more than 6 people can share a table and you must keep a safe distance from others. Please be sure to follow any other guidance given to you when you visit. As per the latest Government rules, you will be required to provide contact details on entry. This information will only be held for the purpose of contract tracing should that be necessary.
The Oasis Cafe is run by Debs and a team of volunteers and new volunteers are always welcome – talk to Debs for more information or click here: Volunteer Information
